Honor Kneafsey is a talented British actress who started acting when she was just seven years old. She was born on August 5, 2004, in Oxford, England, and grew up in a family that loved the arts. Her older sister Ilana is also an actress, and it was actually Ilana who helped Honor find her way into the acting world. Honor’s first role on screen came in 2011 when she appeared in the BBC comedy show How Not to Live Your Life. Even at such a young age, she showed real skill in front of the camera. A year later, she landed a small but memorable part in the hit BBC series Sherlock, which millions of people around the world were watching. These early roles gave her great experience and helped her build confidence as a young performer in a very tough industry.

Her big break came in 2014 when she played June Mottershead in the BBC drama Our Zoo, a show based on the true story of a family who built a zoo in England. Honor played the youngest child in the family, and her warm and natural performance won the hearts of many viewers. After that, her career grew quickly. She appeared in the film Miss You Already in 2015 alongside famous stars like Drew Barrymore and Toni Collette. In 2017, she had a busy year with roles in The Bookshop alongside Bill Nighy, and she played Josephine in the Agatha Christie mystery film Crooked House with Glenn Close. That same year, she also joined the popular ITV comedy Benidorm as Jodie Dawson, appearing in two full series of the show.

Perhaps her most famous role came in 2020 when she voiced the lead character Robyn Goodfellowe in the animated film Wolfwalkers. This beautiful hand-drawn movie tells the story of a young hunter’s daughter in old Ireland who meets a girl that can turn into a wolf. Honor brought so much emotion and energy to the role that critics praised her work highly. She earned several award nominations, including one at the Critics Choice Super Awards for best voice actress. The film itself was nominated for an Academy Award, which made it even more special for everyone involved. On top of her voice work, she also became known worldwide as Princess Emily in the Netflix holiday film series A Christmas Prince, where she appeared in all three films between 2017 and 2019. In 2024, she took on a more grown-up role in the action thriller The Avenger, showing that she is ready for adult roles too.

Off screen, Honor seems like a fun and down-to-earth person. She shares moments from her life on Instagram where she has around 19,000 followers. Her posts show her spending time with friends, dressing up for events, and enjoying life as a young adult. What many people do not know is that her first love was actually dance, and she once wanted to become a ballet dancer. She also has training in martial arts and holds a blue belt in karate, which shows she is full of surprises. From her early days as a child on BBC shows to her current work in films, Honor Kneafsey has shown that hard work and real talent can take you far. She is still only in her early twenties, and it feels like her best work is still ahead of her.
