Concord police responded to Lapis Lane NW around 7:45 a.m. and found a Nissan Rogue had crashed into an embankment about 20 feet off the roadway. Taylor was the only person in the 2016 Nissan Rogue when it went off the road and landed upside down at the bottom of a steep drop. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Cabarrus County EMS, and the Medical Examiner listed the official cause of death as multiple blunt force injuries. Police confirmed there was no foul play, but alcohol was suspected as a contributing factor in the crash.
