Lliana Bird is one of those people who seems to do everything and do it well. Born on 17 August 1981 in London, she grew up with a big love for music, art, and helping others. Most people first heard her voice on the radio. She worked at Xfm, which later became Radio X, and she stayed there for 16 years. That made her the longest working female DJ at the station. Every weekend, she played great music and talked to famous artists like Iggy Pop, Arctic Monkeys, and Noel Gallagher. Her fun style and warm personality made thousands of listeners love her shows. On her social media, she often shares her love for music and creative projects, giving fans a look into her busy but happy life.

But Lliana is much more than a radio presenter. In 2015, she saw the terrible pictures of refugees trying to find safety in Europe, and she wanted to help. Together with her friends Dawn O’Porter and Josie Naughton, she started a small campaign using the hashtag #HelpCalais. They only wanted to fill one van with donations for refugees in Calais. But something amazing happened. People gave so much money and so many things that it grew into a real charity called Help Refugees, now known as Choose Love. This charity became one of the biggest helpers of refugees in all of Europe. Lliana worked hard for the charity until 2018, and during that time, Choose Love helped over 722,500 people around the world. Her work was so important that Foreign Policy magazine named her one of the Top 100 Global Thinkers in 2016.

Lliana is also a talented writer and filmmaker. She wrote a fun science book called The Mice Who Sing For Sex, which talks about strange and wonderful things from the world of science. She also wrote a children’s book called Baboo The Unusual Bee, which she actually wrote while feeding her baby. On her Instagram, she often shares updates about her books and creative work. She also runs a production company called Bird & Be, which makes theatre shows. On top of that, she has directed short films like Styx & Stones and Snapshots. She even has a popular science podcast called Geek Chic’s Weird Science, which was picked as one of the best podcasts by iTunes in 2014. It is clear that Lliana loves learning new things and sharing them with the world.

In her personal life, Lliana has been with the famous comedian Noel Fielding since 2010. They met when she appeared in his comedy show The Mighty Boosh. Together they have two daughters named Dali and Iggy. Their home in Highgate, north London, sounds like a wonderful and creative place, full of music and art. Noel has talked about how their kids love painting on big canvases in the kitchen. Even though both Lliana and Noel are famous, they keep their family life very private. Lliana also co-founded another charity called The Kindly Collective, which supports projects for women, children, and animals. Whether she is on the radio, writing a book, making a film, or helping refugees, Lliana Bird shows that one person really can make a big difference in the world.
